i think its really good,
bit derivative if you've read/seen James Elroy stuff, by the numbers gangsters, corrupt politicians, damaged but good cops, the first few episodes were just a set up for the real story, after the machine gun ambush.
The last couple of episodes have been right up there with some of the best cop shows you'll see

Not watched it yet myself, but read an interesting piece equating intelligence to appreciation of this. Apparently a lot of people just don't get it and are slating it. Hence terrible reviews in the Sun and Mail.

Really boring, really self-indulgant. The characters aren't particularly believable. I gave up with it after about 4 episodes
